Assumption of Risk & Release

We take great care to keep 2K Fest as safe as a weekend like this can be. Even so, you are coming to rugged mountain property with a pool, hot tub, cold plunge, sauna, uneven terrain, nighttime outdoor conditions, live music, and alcohol. Those things carry inherent risks of injury, illness, property loss, or death that cannot be fully eliminated.

You attend voluntarily and at your own risk. You decide what is safe for you — including water, heat, alcohol, and moving around the property after dark — and you are responsible for your own conduct. You confirm you are 21 or older.

To the fullest extent allowed by California law, you release and hold harmless Bryan Gnipp (the site owner), 2K Fest, and the festival's organizers, hosts, and volunteers from any claim arising out of your attendance or participation, including ordinary negligence. This does not waive claims for gross negligence or intentional misconduct. You also waive unknown claims under California Civil Code § 1542. This agreement binds you and your heirs. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.

2K works because people look after each other.

• You are responsible for yourself, your friends, and — generally — the people around you.
• If you see something you feel is unsafe, find someone working the event and tell them.
• Enthusiastic consent and respect are required. If you make another person uncomfortable, you may be asked to leave. Don't be a problem; help keep the weekend good for everyone.
